ANNOUNCEMENTS:

New student orientation starting Thursday, March 5th at 6:00pm!

If you are interested in learning how to play the bagpipes, drums, or Highland dancing. This is your opportunity to ask questions, get to know us and learn all about what it takes to become proficient in your area of interest.


Upcoming Workshops:

We are excited to bring Scottish champion piper, Iain Macey for a weekend workshop for the band on April 18th-19th.


Also we are very pleased to have Tim McMasters from the Grade 1 Stuart Highlanders Pipe Band in Boston come out for a workshop with the band during May 14th-17th.

Mission Statement:

Established in August 2007, Mac-Tire of Skye Pipes and Drums has been growing every year while passionately serving excited students who have a strong desire to learn Scottish bagpipes and drums. While our focus is a teaching organization, we welcome experienced musicians to join the ranks.


MTS is proud to feature some of the top pipers in the state of New Mexico and is the most active band in the state. The band's mission is provide quality traditional and contemporary music to audiences of all kinds. Mac-Tire of Skye has recently become competitive within the Southwest region all the while maintaining a reputation of excellent and entertaining performances around the state.
